Additional 3,000 police officers will be on duty in Paris during the European Football Championship, Paris police chief Michel Cadot said on Thursday.
"From the start of Euro 2016 we will include more than 3,000 additional police officers, and that figure will increase further as of mid-June", Cadot said.
Paris police will be directly responsible for the safety of the "Stade de France" and the "Parc des Princes".
They will also be responsible for the fans area, four hotels for the players, two hotels for UEFA and the international communication center. Cadot added that to ensure security in Paris over 1,200 soldiers will be further deployed.
