The Centar Municipality and the Skopje-based Red Cross promoted the project dubbed 'Help Yourself-Help the Other' on Tuesday.
In two primary schools located in the capital's central area, special first aid kits were installed at each two classrooms.
Municipal authorities inform that Red Cross volunteers have trained teachers and 20 seven- and eight-graders to use the kits and offer first aid in case of necessity.
Centar Mayor Andrej Zernovski said the project will be implemented in other schools on the territory of the municipality under his authority.
"These manner of work and such projects are in line with the World Health Organization standards on first aid in schools," the Centar Municipality said.
