
Macedonian cartoon The Piglet Who Wanted to Be a Bird has been nominated for a special award at UNESCO 2016.
The award is given by the German commission of UNESCO for children television programs that promote understanding and tolerance between different cultures.
The Piglet Who Wanted to Be a Bird has a goal to teach children to respect differences and to understand the meaning of concepts such as equality and parity despite the appearance, or speech.
The cartoon was made by the creative team of NGO "OHO". It was produced by Pece Taleski, written and directed by Eleonora Veninova, and animated by Simon Stojanovski and Dime Gjorgjievski. The Micho was in charge of illustrations, and Mite Dimovski composed the music.
