Wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and motorcycles, accommodation facilities and food services, processing industry and professional, scientific and technical activities are the sectors where new companies emerge the most.
According to data issued by the State Statistical Office, in 2014, the total of 7,161 enterprises were opened, and it is a 5.3% increase in terms of the previous year.
The data on the newly created firms' structure, according to their legal shape, indicate that the companies belonging to the group of limited liability enterprise and joint stock companies are most numerous, i.e. they comprise 70.7% of the total number of enterprises.
According to the statistical office, the enterprises opened in the 2009-2013 period continued their work in 2014, i.e. 43.2% of them.
The most resilient companies belong to the sectors health and social protection - 79.5%; and professional, scientific and technical activities - 56.9%.
In 2014, 37.6% of the firms opened in 2010 were still active, 48.1% of those established in 2011, 52.6% of those formed in 2012 and 79.4 of those that started working in 2013.
