A woman from Skopje aged 46 was found dead in her home in the area known as Pintija, but with a knife stabbed in her chest.
She was discovered in that position by her husband who returned home after shopping.
According to Interior Ministry information, the 69-year-old D.S. reported at the police on Monday that he found his wife, 46-year-old P.S., laying dead on the floor inside their home.
He said that the same day, around 11:30 am when he returned home from the market, he found his wife laying on the floor face down. The first thing that came to his mind was that she fell ill, but when he turned her over to help, he saw a knife stabbed in the left part of her chest and a stab wound.
A public prosecutor and a team of the Interior Ministry's sector in Skopje carried out an inquiry on the site, while the body of the deceased woman was handed over to the Forensic Medicine Institute.
There are still no official information how the woman died, i.e. whether it is a case of a suicide or a murder.
