The police operation aimed at relocating refugees and migrants from the makeshift camp at the Idomeni village in northern Greece to other reception centers continues on Thursday.

Greek authorities said more than 3,000 refugees have thus far been transferred by bus to the new accommodation centers located in northern Greece.

The goal of the authorities is to immediately release the railway between Greece and Macedonia, which has been blocked for 70 ongoing days, whereas the loses of the Greek railway company have been estimated to amount to over EUR 2.5 million.

TrainOSE management said the enterprise expects the situation regarding the trains' itinerary to normalize in the next ten days. Company representatives are already in Idomeni, examining the railway tracks.

TrainOSE said it made profits of EUR 2.75 million in 2015.
