The ruling of the Constitutional Court of Macedonia to annul the decision for the Macedonian Parliament's dissolution of January 2016, and the decision for changes to the decision for the Macedonian Parliament's dissolution of February 2016, does not match VRMO-DPMNE's viewpoints but the party still announced it will respect it.
"We will respect the Constitutional Court's ruling. We believe that does not match the party's viewpoints, but the Constitutional Court is an institution that must be respected in the country, and we will respect it as such," read the party's press release.
As a Christian-democrat party, VMRO-DPMNE believes that elections are the only way to legitimize a government, and that the people are those who can give or take a party's ruling.
"As a party we were prepared to participate in the elections on June 5, and to give the people a chance to express their positions on the political situation in the country," the release of VMRO-DPMNE read.
