The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has issued the international invitation for prequalification over the construction of Railway Corridor VIII Phase II from Beljakovce to Kriva Palanka, which will be open up to July 7.
The 34-km-long railroad leading to Bulgaria includes two stations in Kratovo and Ginovci, as well as three stands in Sopsko Rudare, Krilatica and Psaca.
EBRD has provided a loan in the amount of EUR 145 million for the project construction.
"If everything develops according to plans, the railway section construction could begin by the year-end", says Macedonian Railways Infrastructure.
