The "Danica Rucigaj" Award by the Macedonian Writers' Association will be presented to Ljerka Tot Naumova on Wednesday, given for best poetry book by a female author.
Tot Naumova is the author of 14 poetry books in Macedonian and Croatian languages. She is a member of the Macedonian and Croatian writers associations.
The award bears the name of Macedonian poetess Danica Rucigaj (1934-1963). Her two poetry collections were released after her death in the 1963 Skopje earthquake.
A documentary about Rucigaj will be screened at the event, produced by the Macedonian Radio Television. Katica Trajkovska-Abjanic is the film author, while Miso Roganovic is the director.
