At least 10 construction workers lost their lives in a landslide triggered by strong winds in northern India, local media reported. Five more labor workers were injured in the disaster in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, where they were building a road.
"We have recovered the bodies of 10 people, and the wounded were transfered to hospital, the chief of police stated.
Landslides are common in the Himalayan region, mostly in the monsoon season, when heavy rains make the ground unstable.
