
According to the Dutch analysis of the International Center for Combating Terrorism, mostly French, Germans and Britons are among the foreign fighters from European countries in the ranks of the Syrian rebels, but Belgium has the most as a percentage of the population.
A total of 4,294 people in Europe have gone to fight in Syria. Of them, 30 percent have returned, and 14 percent are reported dead. About 17 percent are women and 23 percent accepted the Islam. Most of them are from the cities or from the suburbs of major cities on the continent.
"Many terrorist organizations aim to undermine the tolerant and pluralistic societies based on the rule of law", according to the analysis.
Data show that from Belgium left 41 per person per million which is the highest "source" of fighters per head of the population. Only 18 percent of them came back while that number in people of Denmark is 50 percent. As a "Source" of fighters follow Austria and Sweden. France was left by more than 900 people to fight on the side of IS. Many people also left Germany and Britain to fight on the side of the IS.
