
Interpol and Europol stated on Monday that due to the large influx of migrants, last year, the smuggling networks achieved a profit of USD 6 billion.
The joint statement of these agencies said that the number of migrants will increase considering that around 800,000 people in Libya are awaiting the right moment to cross the Mediterranean to reach the EU.
Europol and Interpol warned of "increased risk of entry of terrorists in Europe along with the migrants".
The statement reminds that the two terrorists who participated in the attacks in Paris, entered Europe and France with other Syrian migrants, through Greece.
