Bolstering of trade exchange and joint investments in Macedonia are the expectations of the Chambers of Commerce (MCC) after Tuesday's business forum Tuesday with representatives of the Young Businessmen Confederation of Turkey.

The event reviewed possibilities for cooperation in the spheres of transport, construction, engineering, tourism, agriculture, service, IT and education, the Chamber said in a press release.

"We keep working on bolstering the trade exchange with Turkey. We believe for the business events to result in increasing the export of Macedonian companies in Turkey. Negotiations are also underway on joint investments of Turkish companies in Macedonia, namely in the sectors of tourism, agriculture, food processing and textile industry," MCC Executive Director Mitko Aleksov said.

The Macedonian-Turkey trade exchange in 2015 was at EUR 355 million - 5.64 percent higher in comparison to 2014. The positive trend resumed in the Q1 of this year, recording an upward of 16.9 percent in comparison to 2015. Turkey is one of Macedonia's ten top trade partners.
