Farmers that complete training for environmentally friendly practices organized by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the United Nations Development Program will be able to apply for grants worth up to MKD 300.000 (5.000 EUR). The funds can be used to buy machinery and materials.
Applications can be sent by 10 June, and training will take part between July and November. Radovis and Strumica will be the bases for training, with the former specialized for orchards owners that produce plums, apples and pears, and the latter focused on peppers and tomatoes. Up to 55 farmers will be selected for the grants. Interested parties can find more information online at www.rdc.k/southeastregion.
