At 01:00 pm on Sunday, football club Vardar officially opened its football academy, which is located behind the eastern stand of the 'Philip II Arena' stadium. The academy will be a place where Vardar juniors will train and where they will get the chance to become great footballers.
In his official address at the academy's opening, Vardar owner Sergey Samsonenko said:
"I would like to thank all of the people who contributed to the realization of this project, which can only benefit the club, the City of Skopje and Macedonia. When I took over Vardar several years ago, I pointed out that our goal will be to play at European cups and to be regular participants. We will succeed in doing this, and the project is very important because the creation of the club's future will start here."
Apart from the academy's opening, foundations were laid for the club's administration building, the museum and fan shop which will be located next to the academy building of football club Vardar.
