The technical Deputy Agriculture Minister Ljupco Nikolovski blamed the Food and Veterinary Agency for failing its task to inform farmers regarding the outbreak of lumpy skin disease.
Several hundred cattle have been affected by the disease which has periodical outbreaks in the Balkans.
"While the farmers panic counting their losses in milk and cattle, and wait for vaccines for their healthy animals, the agency is giving confusing statements on whether the vaccines have been procured and when will the vaccination begin", Nikolovski said.
He also blames the agency for failing to provide vaccines on time, before the outbreak, calling for responsibility from the authority's head Zoran Popovski.
According to Nikolovski, there is a waiting line in obtaining and having the vaccines delivered.
The disease is not dangerous to humans, but can cause serious damage among the herds.
