A team of employees in the "Macedonian Telecom" on Sunday attended and successfully completed the race in Skopje Marathon. Traditionally their participation in the Skopje Marathon, third in a row, was for a charity and this year's race runners of the Team Telekom dedicated to the fight against rare diseases. They provided a donation of EUR 5,000 intended to assist the Association for support of people with a rare disease Wilson in Macedonia.
The funds from the donation, the Association for support of people with a rare disease Wilson Macedonia will be used to provide reagents for genetic testing of this disease, which are performed in the MANU. The donation of Macedonian Telekom, which comes from the employees themselves, is of great importance for the Association because the purchase of the reagents promptly reveals the rare disease Wilson, giving thus contribution to reducing the fatalities. Early diagnosis will allow people suffering from the rare genetic disease to lead a normal and healthy life through proper therapy and dietetic nutrition.
