In the pas year, 185,000 migrants and refugees have reached Europe via the Mediterranean Sea, the International Organization for Migration said Friday.
According to its data, 184,887 migrants and refugees arrived in Europe by sea in the period January 1 - May 6, 2016.
The total of 1,357 people died or went missing in their attempt to reach the European countries. Since the beginning of the year, 155,090 people arrived in Greece, 28,706 in Italy, 1,603 in Spain and 28 in Cyprus.
