At a work meeting, members of the State Election Commission will look into the letter sent to them by the Directorate for personal Data Protection in relation to the publishing of personal data from the electoral roll on their website, after which the commission is expected to state its standpoint.
The Directorate has issued SEC two temporary motions restricting their right to electronically publish personal data from the electoral roll on their website.
The Directorate for Personal Data Protection conducted an unannounced inspection in SEC on Thursday. The Directorate informs that they issued two motions forbidding SEC to allow access to personal citizen data on their website.
"The State Election Commission has been assigned to undertake measures for hiding personal data from the electoral roll; if looking through a certain municipality, all voters info should not to appear in the search; while searching a certain address, data from all voters who live on that address should not appear; while checking a certain name, data of all voters with the same name should not appear", the Directorate said.
