The main observance of Macedonian Police Day - May 7, will be held at Skopje-based barracks "Ilinden" on Friday.
Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski, Public Security Bureau director Gorance Savovski and Special Operations Unit "Tigers" commander Slavco Petrusevski will address the event.
Minister Spasovski and family members will also lay flowers at the monument of perished officers within the Ministry of Interior and the border police monument.
A ministry delegation will lay flowers at the monument in Brest base, dedicated to the police officers killed in a helicopter crash in 2014, while a ceremony in front of the monument of perished defenders in the park opposite the Macedonian Parliament will also be held.
In addition, Interior Ministry officials will visit orphanages in Skopje and Bitola, as well as the Tetovo-based center for children with special needs.
