The Special Public Prosecutor's Office (SPO) has submitted to the Public Prosecutor's Office data which could clear up the circumstances surrounding Kosta Krpac's death.

"SPO, acting in accordance with the laws has accepted the request for inter-institutional cooperation and has submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor's Office in which it shared information which might help to clear up the circumstances surrounding the death of Kosta Krpac", SPO's announcement said.

Yet, SPO said, information and documents which were requested, but were not in connection with the inevstigation of the circumstances surrounding Krpac's death, have not been shared with the Public Prosecutor's Office, since they are a part of an active pre-investigative procedure.

SPO said that the Public Prosecutor's Office lacks the will for cooperation.

"We would like to point out that we have sent to the Public prosecutor's Office many requests for an inter-institutional cooperation, but so far, we have received no feedback in regard to our requests and we have not received copies of penalty documents which we have requested, even though article 81 from the Law on Criminal Procedure clearly allows this", SPO's report said.

Kosta Krpac was found dead on April 27 in his apartment on Naroden Front street near Skopje's Flower Market. Before that, at about 01:30 pm, shots were fired, which, according to the Interior Ministry, were fired from Krpac's apartment.

According to local media, Krpac's body was found in the bedroom of the apartment where he lived with his family. A bullet was found in his mattress and a licensed gun was discovered beside his body.

Still, the Public Prosecutor's Office did not comment on these stories. They only said that the investigation is ongoing and that every assumption is a speculation.

Krpac was a witness in a SPO procedure, and SPO ordered a search of his apartment at the start of April. Krpac's name was on the President Ivanov's list of abolished persons, yet the SPO says that he was not indicted.
