Integrity Day Conference will be held Thursday in Skopje as an activity of the EU funded project “Support to Efficient Prevention and Fight against Corruption.”
This project, which is funded by EU with 1,4 million Euro, started in July, 2014 and will end in October, 2016. The project focuses on the following major components: Improving the anti-corruption legal and institutional framework, improving the system of management of conflict of interests, building capacity of institutions on prevention and repression, financing political parties and electoral campaigns, prosecution and trial cases of corruption and management of confiscated property.
At the conference, which aims on raising the awareness of the municipalities on prevention of corruption through installing internal mechanisms for integrity and corruption risk assessment, welcoming addresses will be delivered by Lukas Holub, Head of Political and Info Section at Delegation of the European Union, Igor Tanturovski, President of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, Shiret Elezi, Minister of Local Selfgovernment, Branko Rakovec, Ambassador of Slovenia and Helge Sander, Deputy Ambassador of Germany.
