A contract on a donation worth EUR 740,000, for the supply of 25 vehicles for the needs of the Macedonian Interior Ministry, was signed Thursday by Minister Oliver Spasovski and the Czech Ambassador to the country, Miroslav Rames.

The donation was agreed at a work meeting with the Czech Interior Minister Milan Chovanec that was realized in February in Macedonia.

Spasovski said the donation and the cooperation with the Czech interior ministry show the country is not alone in dealing with the refugee crisis.

He reminded that tents, heaters, beds, sleeping bags, raincoats, isothermal foils and power generators worth EUR 125,000 have been previously provided by the Czech Republic to Macedonia.

Ambassador Rames expressed his gratitude for the solid cooperation between the two countries' interior ministries.

"I believe that the solid cooperation points to good relations. We are not alone in it and our partners of the Visegrad Group - Poland, Hungary and Slovakia - are also ready to offer Macedonian concrete help," Rames said.
