
Japan is planning to develop a close cooperation with France in terms of fighting terrorism, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said after the meeting with French President Francois Holland at the Elysee Palace in Paris.
According to Abe, the issue on tackling extremism will be one of the main topics at the upcoming G7 summit, scheduled to take place in Japan on May 26-27.
The two leaders also discussed reforms aimed at stimulating the world economic growth.
"The economic situation in Europe has started to improve but for now, growth is still very slow," the French president said.
Hollande expressed content that the G7 participants will also addressed the issue on transparency in international financial deals.
