The Special Public Prosecutor's Office (SPO) led by Katica Janeva, did not report any threats toward now deceased Kosta Krpac, who was found dead in his apartment in Skopje-based settlement Kapistec, Kurir reported.
In a press release after the death of Krpac, the SPO said that they had in their possession evidence for many relevant circumstances, including the pressure under which Kosta Krpac was.
"Taking into consideration that these are extremely confidential information, they will not be presented to the public at the moment. However, if there is a necessity for that, we are prepared to cooperate with the bodies of the prosecution that investigates the death of Kosta Krpac," the press release the SPO read.
Kurir tried to get and answer from the Interior Ministry if the SPO, which claimed it possessed evidence of the pressure of the deceased, has filed any report for threats toward this person, but there was no answer from the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
In addition, not even the MOI's newsletter contains a threat report for Krpac. Not even transitional Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski, nor Janeva said when these pressures and threats have been reported, who did it, and what was undertaken as measure.
According to Kurir, the crucial questions which are not answered are why the SPO have ordered a search of the home of Kosta Krpac? Did that have to happen in front of his child, wife, and neighbors? What did they find during the search? Why would the SPO be bothered with seizing the procedure by President Gjorge Ivanov, if they did not intent persecuting Kosta Krpac?
"Zaev and the SPO must underestimate this people so much, when they can be calm and send press releases in which they say someone had offered to cooperate with them, and on the other hand, they ordered search of his home in front of his child and wife. When you storm into someone's home in the middle of the night and disturb one's family, threating him, and you have claimed he was a great collaborator, it raises a question how do you treat someone who is not a volunteer witness, or does not cooperate according to expectations. The Public prosecutor in charge will have to clear this dilemma, and everyone that has led their own, ordered, justice, to be held responsible. The public is waiting for an answer, why did Katica Janeva give out a search warrant to storm the apartment of Krpac at night? If there had been pressures over Krpac, why did they hide that, and held dozens of dramatic press conferences? Was that reported anywhere? The answer is not expected from the SPO this time. The public has seen that the SPO lies and manipulates. This time the answer is expected from the Public Prosecutor in charge that needs to confirm the circumstances of Kosta Krpac's death. There have been speculations that when he asked for help, Krpac said everything that weighed on him. Those notes cannot disappear now, or be changed, whoever the cover is," wrote university professor Oliver Andonov in his latest column.
