The Committee on Political System and Inter-Ethnic Relations has postponed its session for the fourth time, as the Committee's President Vlatko Gjorcev said, due to the absence of the Special Public prosecutor Katica Janeva who was supposed to explain the 6 month report on the Special Public Prosecution's work.
"Unfortunately, conditions for holding this session have not been fulfilled because Katica Janeva thinks that she should be the only official in Macedonia who should not show up at the highest legal institution in the country and that she can proclaim all the institutions, the President and Parliament as illegitimate, considering only herself to be legitimate", Gjorcev said.
Parliament, he added, is the top legal institution in Macedonia.
"Over the last 25 years, state presidents such as Kiro Gligorov, Boris Trajkovski and Gjorge Ivanov have showed up in Parliament. These persons were elected by the people. State prime ministers, ministers and top officials have also showed up, but Katica Janeva considers that she should not show up at Parliament", Gjorcev said.
He concluded that conditions for holding a session have not been fulfilled and announced that he will scheduled it in the upcoming period.
SDSM MPs also failed to show up to the scheduled Committee session. Last week, they announced that they will not be coming to a session which have the report on the Special Public Prosecutor's Office on its agenda.
