The Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia H.H. Stefan has extended an Easter message to all Orthodox believers.
"The Christ’s resurrection is the greatest and most joyous event in the history. It is a miracle above all miracles, gift above all gifts and blessing above all blessings. So, believing in Christ means believing in resurrection. And the strength of those who believe, hope and love the Christ, is in serenity, patience, obedience, suffering in virtues that transform people.
In this year our joy is great when we commemorate the 1100th anniversary of the death of St. Clement of Ohrid, patron of Macedonian people and church. On this great holiday, Easter, let us pray together with St. Clement of Ohrid and all Macedonian saints, for unity and brotherly love among us. Only by sincere faith and mutual love, we will be able to respond to all challenges. So let us pray for God to stop disputes, riots here and in the world, to return the displaced people in their homes, to protect those who suffer and justice and truth to prevail everywhere and in everyone…
Let the hearts of all of us be filled with sincere repentance and love to feel and to celebrate this year’s Easter joy. Christ is Risen!," H.H. Stefan said in Easter message.
