For the old man from Prilep who earlier this year, taking advantage of family circumstances, abused a minor child under 14 years, criminal procedure was initiated by Public Prosecutor's Office - Prilep. The offender is 70 years of age, and before the court he will be responsible for the crime of "sexual assault on a child" who has not reached 14 years.
"Acting upon a criminal charge filed by the Ministry of Interior Affairs PS Prilep, the Public Prosecutor's Office-Prilep initiated an action against one person, aged 70 years for the crime of "child sexual abuse" of Article 188 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, because on undetermined dates on several occasions, from the beginning of 2016 until the beginning of April 2016, in order to satisfy his sexual desires and taking advantage of the close family occasions, performed sexual acts on a child who has not reached 14 years of age", it is said in a statement by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Against the suspect, competent public prosecutor, as it adds, submitted a proposal for detention to the preliminary procedure judge in the Basic Court in Prilep.
