
Journalist Zoran Bozinovski, who was arrested last week in Novi Sad, was brought to the Basic Court in Skopje on Wednesday as he is one of the defendants in the case known as 'Spy', Telegraf.mk reads.
A verdict on the case was rendered by the end of 2014. The prime suspect, former intelligence officer, Marjan Efremov, was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Goran Stojkov, former general, earned a 9-year prison sentence. He was charged for taking part in a criminal organization, extortion and illegal possession and trade of arms.
In the elaborate of the first-degree verdict, Judge Gjoko Ristov pointed that the evidence materials, which were enormously large, have confirmed the crimes that they are charged with.
A part from espionage and revealing state secrets, part of the defendants were charged for taking part in a criminal organization, blackmail, extortion, fraud and abuse of position.
