Slovakian Army Chief of Staff, General Milan Maxim, will visit the Bogorodica army post on the border with Greece, which has been the site of the heaviest pressure of migrants that are trying to enter Macedonia and reach core European Union countries.
The General will be informed of activities that the Macedonian Army is undertaking to prevent the influx of migrants. Slovakia is one of the EU countries that helped and supported Macedonia in closing down the border with Greece, after over a million people crossed in 2015 and early 2016. During his visit, General Maxim met with President Gjorge Ivanov and Defense Minister Zoran Jolevski, as well as his counterpart and host, Macedonian Army Chief of Staff General Metodija Velickovski.cc/09:57
