
Protesters, organized by the civic association 'I Protest', took Wednesday to the streets of Skopje for the 14th day in a row to voice their revolt against the President's pardoning of top political figures involved in a wire-tapping affair.
Starting their march in front of the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPO), the protesters headed to the buildings of the Parliament and Government.
The protesters once again called on President Gjorge Ivanov to immediately revoke his pardoning decision and resign. Furthermore, they demand for urgent annulment of the decision on scheduling the early elections for June 5.
They sprayed painted the images of President Ivanov and former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, displayed in front of the Government building. They also laid fresh flowers on Nikola Karev's monument in honor of the 111th anniversary of his death.
On Wednesday evening 'I Protest' organized protests in Bitola, Ohrid, Veles, Strumica.
The Civil Movement for Defense of Macedonia (GDOM) also organized a protest in Bitola, Ohrid, Kavadarci and Kicevo, with demonstrators calling for putting an end to the political crisis in the country via June 5 elections.
