Zoran Karadzovski was elected new Judicial Council President. Karadzovski is a judge at the Appellate Court in Bitola.
On Tuesday he was the only candidate and 12 members of the Judicial Council voted for him.
On Monday, there was an unsuccessful attempt at electing a new president of the Judicial Council, who would have taken Branko Uskovski's position and whose mandate expired at April 21.
Aside from Karadzovski, Lidija Kanacovic was also a candidate on Monday. They received 6 votes each, while one ballot was invalid.
The Judicial Council president is chosen to have a 3 year mandate and has a right to be elected for another. Uskovski has been on the position since 2010.
