To celebrate the courage of women, to give encouragement and support to what they contribute to society. The month of March has been declared for the month of women, and on Wednesday evening through music and poetry performances it was celebrated at the US Embassy in Skopje.
The United States Ambassador Jess Baily with a welcoming speech greeted the guests and opened the celebration in honor of the women titled as "Defining Moments".
"Tonight we celebrate the brave women of this country, those who made their marks in history, but also those who currently write history. Through humor, songs and poems will pay them respect", Baily said in his address.
The entire program was directed by the wife of the US Ambassador, Capey Polk Baily, which ultimately herself dedicated a poem to the gentler but brave gender, women.
Among the artist that took part in the programme were Gordana Popsimonova, Lindita Bilal – Abdullahu, Jana Burceska, Despina Kocova, Martina Samarakova, Jana Kocevska, Eleni Mickovska, Elizabeta Avramovska, Ognen Janeski and Viktor Tanaskovski as music company on guitar.
Among the guests, invited were university professors, editors, public prosecutors, people who are active in the political and other spheres of public life.
