Macedonia's Economic Chamber for Information and Communication Technologies (MASIT), in cooperation with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, will hold an interactive forum on April 7.
The project that is to be applied through the program on increasing market employability, which is one of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation's activities, and will be implemented by the Swisscontact and Preda Plus, is to be presented at the forum aimed at increasing competitiveness, profitability and the sustainable development of the companies operating in the information and communication technologies sphere.
A part from the presentation of world trends on overcoming gender imbalance in this sector, the interactive forum will pay special attention to the condition of the ICT industry in Macedonia and the degree to which domestic companies follow world practices in terms of improving the gender imbalance.
One of the main topics will be the role of the woman in family and society and how much the companies take into consideration the creation of equal opportunities for professional and career development of their employees when drafting their policies.
Experts from Croatia are to participate in the forum, who are to present the tools and the positive examples on overcoming gender imbalance to Macedonian ICT companies. They will also talk about companies' profitability and efficiency.
Research made on European level show that investments in gender diversity and the active approach to attracting and using the female talents and potentials are possibilities that could largely contribute toward solving business challenges and improve the firms' work.
The event will take place at the Stone Bridge hotel in Skopje, starting at 3:00 pm, and will be open for all entities related to the ICT industry.
