The data and the software that could be used and were related to the communications interception equipment before it was destroyed were properly re-recorded and preserved on a hard disk, which was delivered to the Special Prosecutor's Office after it send a demand for its retrieval, Press 24 news portal claims.
According to the media portal, before the obsolete equipment was destroyed, an order was issued to record all relevant data of the software that could be of use in a court procedure in future. Press 24 article reads that the person who was the most responsible for the equipment's destruction, Chief Saso Trajkovski, on April 17 last year, sent a letter, informing his superiors that he acted in line with the order.
The letter said precisely: "The procedure of copying the 2014 court orders was carried out by a technical expert with the company that manufactured the communications interception system. The copy was submitted to the main administrator on a hard disk, model DNS 320...," Press 24 asserts.

This hard disk, according to Press 24, was submitted to Katica Janeva on the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office, thus enabling the authority to access the entire software and the data that were kept in the Administration for Security and Counter Intelligence system.
According to those information, and according to the signed reports on its value, which was estimated to stand at MKD 1, the equipment that was destroyed was practically worthless.
